He is survived by: his children, Mike Karakozis (Olga), Mark Karakozis and Gini Mojica (John); his grandchildren, John, Angelo Karakozis, Nikolas, Christopher Karakozis, Anjelica, Kalliopi (Dominic Scheerer) and Christian Mojica; his great grandchildren, Blakely, Tristan, Elias Karakozis and Adley Kaszak; his brother Mark Karakozis (Maggie); his sisters-in-law, Maria Karakozis and Paraskevi Karakozis; Kay Karakozis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
