She was predeceased by: her father Mike Pachapa. She is survived by: her children, Lauren Detamore (Cory) and Nicholas Kitchell (Catherine); her grandchildren, Sloane, Zane and Kitchell; her mother Nancy Pachapa; and her siblings, Ed Pachapa (Sue), Lil Allen (Brice) and Karen Fife (Russ). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joyce's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or most simply practice the act of being present in the moment, take a breath...pause... and smell the flowers.-Joyce would have insisted on it.
