She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hemm and Bernice Hemm; her sister Nancy Alvarez-Camarillo; and her nephews, Steven Myers and Chester Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Sliger (Aaron), Lori Zeleznik (Candice) and Francis Herrera (Jose); her siblings, John Hemm (Patty) and Barbara Alvarez (Carlos); her grandson Jose Herrera III; and her children, Aaron Alvarez (Nicole), Amanda Alvarez, Shannon Hemm, Stefanie Hemm, Shellee Whitefoot (Dan), Mary Myers, Alexander Alvarez, Adrianna Alvarez, Jaden Alvarez, Amari Gatses, Gavin Hemm-Boland, Blake Meier, Avery Meier and Tierney Whitefoot.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
