It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne E. Barnes of Crown Point, Indiana, born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Barnes; his daughter Pamela Jean D'Amour; and his siblings, Donald Barnes, Phyllis Sherve and Roland Barnes.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Barnes (Joy), David Barnes (Sonia) and Michael Barnes (Dawn); his grandchildren, Mitchell, Kelly, Shawn, Julie, Patrick, Alex, Katie, Rae Anna, Cody, Candace, Joshua, Cameron and Courtney; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Loki, Lyla, Cameron, Odin, Freye, Anya, Caleb, Peyton, Myles, Austin, Dax, Bryce, Everett and Oliver; his son-in-law Peter D'Amour; and his family, Lynwood and Hammond. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
