Marjorie Cook Squier Smith Obituary

We announce the death of Marjorie Cook Squier Smith of Cutler, Indiana, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 97. Marjorie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cook and Josephine Cook (Thompson); her husbands, Walter Squier and Richard Smith; her son Rodric Squier; her grandson Eric Squier; and her siblings, Harold Cook, Virginia Brower Smith, William Cook, Belva Best, Robert Cook, Mark Cook and Bonnie Wilson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jackie Harber (Paul) and Jane Squier (Lorri Rodino); her stepchildren, Lynda Logan, Kathy Childress and Rick Smith (Evelyn); her daughter-in-law Sandra Squier; her niece Susan Stanton (Marjorie); and her grandchildren, Jon Carter, Elizabeth Beswick, Rachel Kennedy, Chris Childress, Stacey Bostian-Miller (Paul Miller), Tim Logan, Kelsey Logan (Brent Synesael), Paige Bennett (Austin), Taylor Smith, Rory A. Griffis (Shanna), Kevin W. Walters (Anna), Michael Griffis and Christopher Griffis. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Raub United Methodist Church.
