He is survived by: his wife Joy Kendall of Dale; his children, Debbie Fischer of St. Meinrad, Cindy Lindauer (Bob) of Dale and Steve Kendall (Amy) of Dale; and his grandchildren, Troy, Lance, Angela, Wesley, Dakota, Rae Ann and Haley. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Friends of Lincoln State Park in loving memory of Merle.
