He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth R. Covey and Hazel Covey (Coons). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Covey; and his children, Connie Sparks (Jerry) of Danville, IN, Cathy Willard (Jack) of Danville, IN and Mike Covey (Karrie) of Danville, IN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Helton & Harris Funeral Home-Danville (102 S Indiana St, Danville, IN 46122). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to the American Cancer Society.
