He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma M. Shockley (Acra) and James I. Shockley. He is survived by: his daughters, Sloan Shockley-Lewis (Jeff) of Indianapolis and Susan Buffington (Jeff) of Dawsonville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Bobo (Grant), James Carr (Paige), Mason Carr (Caroline) and Sara Bailey (Joseph); his great grandchild Esther Carr; and his sister Nelly (Harley Bailey).
