He was predeceased by: his father John H. Battershell. He is survived by: his wife Helen "Herbie"; his daughter Kelly Hartle (Ed) of Brownsburg; and his brothers, Kas (Jan Kasuboske) and Dave (Sharon Miller). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that contribution be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital and/or Shriner's Hospitals for children in memory of John.
