She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Higgins and Florence Higgins (Shofner); her husband Russell R. Penrod; and her brother Robert Higgins. She is survived by: her children, Jerri Slocum (Michael), Judy Neier (Ray), Daniel Penrod (Janet) and Jo Hinesley (John); and her grandchildren, Chris Slocum, Jeff Slocum (Christie), Rachael Phillips Alyea (Aaron), Ashlee Craiger (Brandon), Shelby Cadwell (Brett), Whitney Dahlstrom (Trent), Joseph Penrod (Kayelynn), Sara Penrod, Rebecca Penrod, David Lauman (Gina), Brittany Myers and Stacy Cox. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and her 8 surviving siblings along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Her family finds comfort knowing she has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Northview Christian Church of Danville Indiana "For the One" campaign.
