He was predeceased by : his parents, Max H. Tarplee and Dollie Mae Taylor Tarplee; his sister Cinderella Alice Tarplee; and his former life partner Ellen Jane Hoard Tarplee. He is survived by : his wife Magdalena Brinas Smith (Lena); his children, Leo Tarplee, Jr., James Michael Tarplee and Connie Lee Tarplee; and his sister Maxine Mae Tarplee. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
