She was predeceased by: her parents, Opal Marie and Roy McCartney; her husband Tom Doty; and her brothers, Melvin and Edward McCartney.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Jane Mears; her sons, Rex Hammersley (Julia) and John Hammersley (Karen); and her stepchildren, Teresa Reeves (Steve), Elinda Doty and Steve Collier (Nancy). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society.
