He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herschel and Joan Marie Rivers (LaMar); and his siblings-in-law, Andrew 'Steamboat' and Barbara Smith (Becky). He is survived by: his wife Debbie Anele Smith; his son Alan Ray (Jodie Lynne); his siblings, Jeffrey Rivers, Timothy Rivers (Bridgette), Rebecca Samet (Greg) and Penny Rivers; and his sister-in-law Judy Barton (Ed). He is also survived by many nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
