He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Shannon Duckworth (Craig) and Kelley Burton (Pete); his grandchildren, Walter, Ben, Albert and Heather; his brother Frank Roth (Brenda); his parents, Frank Roth and Marie Roth; and his sisters, Rosemarie Dewey and Barbara Doerr. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A curious mind and compassionate soul, Steve dedicated nearly 30 years to Eli Lilly & Company as a Senior Research Scientist, where his work contributed to life-saving medicines for diabetes and Alzheimer's disease.
