She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Heckman and Clara Heckman (Kiefer); her siblings, Elinor Moerman and Gerhard Heckman; her son-in-law Conrad Victor Neiman; and her grandson-in-law John Gatalski.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Wentzel (Steven) of Napoleon, Ohio, Thomas Blomenberg (Michelle) of Decatur, Indiana, Peggy Blomenberg (David Lundberg) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Rev. Ralph Blomenberg (Jan) of Seymour, Indiana, Susan Blomenberg-Neiman of The Villages, Florida and Timothy Blomenberg (Kristine) of Decatur, Indiana; her brother Delmar Heckman of Decatur, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Renee Gregory, Brian Wentzel, Amy Aldeman, Emily Sovine, Jill Dougal, Sara Overbeck, Katie Hargett, Elizabeth Eldredge Lester, Jack Eldredge, Justin Blomenberg, Jennifer Rodgers, Janneane Blevins, Brian Moeller, Ben Moeller, Rebekah Tussing and Andrew Blomenberg. She is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren.
