He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo T. Gillig and Florence L. Gillig (Kohne); and his siblings, John Gillig, Albert Gillig and Rosemary Sheley.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Gillig of Decatur; his children, Jim Gillig (Toni) of Indianapolis, Mike Gillig (Peggy) of Carmel and Patty Johnson (Colin) of Monroe; and his siblings, David Gillig, Donald Gillig, Gerald Gillig and Marcella Smith. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
