He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Ehinger and Helen Ehinger (Himbert); his wife Carolyn E. Simon; his sons, Perry Ehinger and Barry Ehinger; his son-in-law Joe Eisenhauer; and his siblings, Paul, Richard, Edwin Ehinger and Eileen Carmichael.
He is survived by: his children, James Ehinger (Tami) of Springville, IN, Renee Eisenhauer of Huntington, IN, Charles Ehinger (Kelly), Kathleen Durbin (Rob), Marta Gilbert (Doug) and Amy Ream; his daughter-in-law Anne Ehinger of Decatur, IN; and his sisters, Delores Lambros and Rita Bickel of Huntington, IN. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
