She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Eugene and Helen Arlene Rydell (Hiscocks). She is survived by: her husband John Anderson of The Villages, Florida; her children, Leslie Salway (Ryan) of Decatur, Indiana and Chad Isch of Marietta, Georgia; her siblings, Judy Mettler (Tom) of Hoagland, Indiana and Bill Rydell (Bonnie) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her stepchildren, Melanie Anderson of Rockford, Illinois, Amanda Papacek (Tim) of Hayworth, Illinois and Robert Anderson (Katherine) of Rochester, Minnesota; her sister-in-law Helen Anderson of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Megan Garwood (Tony), Brooklyn Salway (Noah Vanhorn) and Brandon Isch; her great grandchildren, Keaten, Paxten, Finnley and Knoxley Garwood; and her stepgrandchildren, Evan Anderson (Yoshie), Mae Anderson, Jack Anderson, Clara Papacek, Emily Anderson and Myles Anderson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home- Decatur (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ACCF – Cancer Fund or Adams Public Library.
