It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara M. Shaffer of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Shaffer and Lula Shaffer (Wolfe); and her siblings, Don "Bud" Shaffer, Charles "Short" Shaffer, Jerry "Jug" Shaffer, Patsy Blew, Connie Hess, Ilene Dailey and Debra Shaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Shaffer (Michelle) of Decatur, Indiana and Kimberly Shaffer (Dale Wayne Brown) of Decatur, Indiana; her siblings, Harlan "Bus" Shaffer of Decatur, Indiana, Bonnie Griggs of Owensboro, Kentucky, David Shaffer of Decatur, Indiana, Larry Shaffer of Decatur, Indiana, Terry Shaffer (Carla) of Convoy, Ohio and Nancy Shaffer of Decatur, Indiana; her grandchildren, Mallory Lawrence (Jesse), Jarred Shaffer (Monica), Anthony Shaffer (Kayna), Kirsten Brown, Korbin Brown and Konnor Brown; and her great grandchildren, Caiden Lothamer, Cooper Lothamer, Oliver Brown, Ella Lawrence and Emmie Lawrence.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home- Decatur (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
