She was predeceased by: her father George C. Sumrak. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Buffy J. Layton (Ty) of Carmel, Indiana, Joseph M. III Decatur (Amanda) and Christopher W. of Marfa, Texas; her grandchildren, Chloe and Austin Layton of Carmel; her sons, Ellie, Jack and Miles Johnson of Decatur; and her siblings, Ronald Sumrak (Sherry) of Elkhart, Marlene Slagle (Jay) of Indianapolis and Donna Marbach (Rex) of Decatur.
