He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Scheiman and Erna Scheiman (Schueler). He is survived by: his wife Donna Scheiman (Buuck) of Decatur; his daughters, Jani Thieme (Daniel) of Hoagland, Indiana, Rebecca Scholer (Shaun) of Carmel, Indiana, Catherine Masloob (Mark) of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Emily Pass (Jeff) of New Palestine, Indiana.; his sister Arlene Preader of Scottsville, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Alexis Lane (Jon), Erika Callison (Andrew), Benjamin Scholer, Anna Scholer, Audrey Foster (Faven), Breann Roberts (Colton), Isabelle Roberts, Delaney Pass and Lillian Pass; his great grandchildren, Brecken Lane, Cooper Lane, Grayson Foster and Alana Foster; and his stepgranddaughters, Melody, Evelyn and Elizabeth Masloob.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (11555 US Hwy 27, Decatur, IN 46733).
