He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Ott and Karen V. Ott; his parents-in-law, Daniel L. Compton and Beverly Jean Compton; and his brother-in-law Joshua Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Jamie Compton Ott; his sons, James Alexander Ott of Shelbyville, Indiana and Jason Daniel Ott of Shelbyville, Indiana; his sister Sharon Ott of Crossville, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Sarah Raison (Jon) of Shelbyville, Shannon Roy (Scott) of Shelbyville and Buddy Compton (Katie Jones) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and military brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or to the Shelbyville Animal Clinic in Doug's memory.
