He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Schoettmer and Martha Schoettmer (Miller); his wife Ellen "Snooky" Schoettmer; and his daughter Tammy Humpert. He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence Schoettmer (Melissa) and Jeffery Schoettmer (Penny); and his granddaughter Grace Wagner (Bill). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
