She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodor Merkle and Victoria Merkle (Germann); her brother Lester Merkle; her stepdaughter-in-law Anne Marbach; and her grandson Connor Witte.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Marbach of Decatur, Indiana; her children, Jennifer Evans (Patrick) of Elmhurst, Illinois, David Witte (Beth) of Sunman and Bradley Witte (Staci) of Thorntown, Indiana; her sister Irene Lutz (Carl) of San Diego, California; her stepchildren, Leesa Heckman (Dale) of Decatur, Kathy Cowans (Brett) of West Lafayette, Indiana, Cindy Gerber (Darrell) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Scott Marbach (Karla) of Decatur, Indiana and Craig Marbach (Gail) of Leo, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Daniel Evans (Emily), Allison Evans, Morgan Witte, Alyssa Witte, Nora Witte, Kinlee Witte and Garrett Witte. She is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
