He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer R. Springer and Violet C. Springer (Ritter); and his siblings, Martha Boothby, Phyllis West and Dennis Springer.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene K. Springer of Decatur; his daughters, Stacy Springer of Decatur, Wendy Berry (Tony Costello) of Decatur and Dorene Vergara (Jason) of Decatur; his siblings, Robert, Johnny, Calvin Springer (Linda), Betty Ball (Ray) and Linda Springer; his grandchildren, Cody Kneer, Zach Kneer, Nicholas Vergara and Macie Vergara; and his great grandchildren, Luna Vergara and Sebastian Vergara.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Ray Cemetery.
