James Baumgartner Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Baumgartner and Sarah "Betty" Baumgartner (Swygart); and his siblings, Marilyn Barnes and Allen Baumgartner. He is survived by: his wife Connie Baumgartner of Decatur; his children, Lisa Bultemeier (Corbin) of Decatur, Anthony Baumgartner (Gina) of Uniondale and James Baumgartner Jr. of Roann; his siblings, Gene Baumgartner of Decatur and Shirley Huss of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Sally, James III, Toni, Taylor, Samantha, Carrington, Remington and Lawton. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haggard Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery (4504 W 300 N, Decatur, IN 46733).
