Jerry J. Bean Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2025, at the age of 92, Jerry J. Bean (Decatur, Indiana), born in Wichita, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Bean and Mary Bean (Vanderweid); and his stepgrandson Garrett P. Augsburger. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bean (Dick); his children, Thomas "Scott" Bean (LiLing), Christopher Bean, James Bean and Richard "Kelly" Bean (Gena); his stepchildren, W. Dean Augsburger, Teresa "Terri" Vetor (Kent) and Kevin Augsburger (Ivette); and his sister Brenda Kay Reinsick (Neil). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, along with one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Community Hospice at Community Health Network Foundation, 7330 Shadeland Station Suite 150, Indianapolis, Indiana 46256 or the First United Methodist Church Buddy Bag Mission, 1215 Jackson Street, in Anderson, Indiana. 46016-1652.
