She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert A. Petersen and LaVanda L. Petersen (Wiese); and her father-in-law Lloyd Tietz. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Tietz of Decatur, Indiana; her children, Ryan Tietz (Jeanine) of Fort Wayne, Andrew Tietz (Danielle) of Newport News, Virginia and Allison Ulmer (Matthew) of Decatur, Indiana; her mother-in-law Helen Tietz of Nebraska; her siblings, Sandra Petersen of California, Karen Veal (William) of Nebraska, Nancy Koch (Randy) of Nebraska and Byron Petersen of Nebraska; and her grandchildren, Isaiah Tietz (Elizabeth), Amaya Tietz, Jordyn Tietz, Ella Tietz, Davin Tietz, Joanna Ulmer, Adeline Ulmer and Lydia Ulmer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (10653 N 550 W, Decatur, IN 46733). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorial can be given to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim.
