He was predeceased by: his parents, Ortell L. McClain and Eathyl McClain (Tinkham); and his sister Linda L. Frasure (Sammy). He is survived by: his wife Diane McClain (Miller) of Decatur, Indiana; his children, Chad McClain (Jennifer), Tanya Croswell of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Toby Reef (Sarah) of Decatur, Indiana; his sisters, Vicki Densmore of Fort Wayne and Cheri Klopfenstein (Doug) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his granddaughters, Kim, Haylae, Brooklyn, Maddilyn, Kaitlynn, Makayla, Emma, Audrey and Sophia; his brother Michael Miller (Anita) of Decatur; Nola Zimmerman (Scott) of Greencastle, Indiana.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Preferred memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Adult Choir or Zion Lutheran School.
