She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Mabel Smith (Smith); her great grandchild Ashton Sarasin; and her siblings, Phyllis Smith, David Smith, Wayne Smith and Lowell Smith.
She is survived by: her husband David R. Harkless of Decatur, Indiana; her children, Rodney Harkless (Maegon) of Berne, Indiana, Renee Crates (Jason) of Decatur, Indiana and Ruth Ann Stucky (David) of Monroe, Indiana; her sister Nancy Harkless (Paul) of Monroe, Indiana; her sisters-in-law, Rinda Smith of Caro, Lois Smith of Rensselaer and Dee Smith of Cass City, Michigan.; her grandchildren, Laura Brown (Marcus Love), Kayla Sarasin (Trent), Nathan Stucky (Tiffany), Clayton Harkless (Alexa), Audrey Bohata (Brendan), Brayden Harkless (Lidea Morningstar), Nicole McFarland (Nathan), Jenna Crates (Hunter Lotter) and Morgan Crates (Jordan Minich); and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Jace, Cameron, Oliver, James, Jonah, Hadley, Delilah, Azalea and Mylah.
Preferred memorials are to Heart to Heart Hospice, Cornerstone Community Church, or Laurel Missions.
