LaVerne L. Thomas Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 9, 2022, at the age of 102, LaVerne L. Thomas of Decatur, Indiana, born in Glasgow, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert B. Settles and Mary M. Settles (Huddleston); and her husband Lester L. Thomas. She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Elzey (Larry) of Decatur, Indiana; her grandchildren, Larry Elzey (Tanecia), Patrick Elzey (Laura), Robert Beer (Mary), Danny Beer (Brenda), Rod Beer (Deb) and Peggy Rumschlag (Dave); her daughter Glenda Beer; her great grandchild Megan Beer; her sisters, Virginia Janes and LaVada Furlong; and her foster brother Jackie Campbell. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or A.C.C.F – Cancer Fund.
