It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Grace Roop of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David H. Teeple and Berneta Teeple (Reynolds); her husband James B. Roop; and her siblings, Richard, Raymond, Donald "Pat" Teeple, Joyce Ensign and Catherine Spiegel.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Roop (Brenda) of Naples, Florida, Rick Roop (Cindy) of Gravette, Arkansas, Trish Fuelling (Marty) of Decatur, Indiana and Nancy Evans (Rex) of Decatur, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Michelle Haverkate, Melanie Riveron, Risa Sidani, Cara Melson, Tami Nowlin, Meredith Fry, Stephanie Pruitt, Megan Kable, Kaitlin Fuelling, Ben Evans and Brittany Magner. She is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorials may be given to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Indiana or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
