Ned Ray Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ned Ray of Decatur, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ned may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ned touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Ray and Eithel Ray (Laughrey); his wife Margaret Taylor; and his siblings, George Ray and Geraldine Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Laws (Thomas) of Lafayette, Indiana, Robin Ray (Roxanne) of Decatur, Indiana and Tobin Ray (Nancy) of Decatur, Indiana. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
