He was predeceased by: his son Steven Scott; and his brother David Scott. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Scott of Decatur, Indiana; his children, Nealinda Scott of Decatur, Indiana, Neil Scott Jr. of Decatur, Indiana, Melissa Brister of Decatur, Indiana and Mike Scott (Amy) of Decatur, Indiana; his sisters, Debi Beeks of Kendallville, Indiana, Connie Gutierrez (Richard) of Albuquerque and Julie Scott-Peters of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Megan Scott, Christian Hopper, Cierra Strater (Scott), Brittany Grayson (Will), Daniel Scott (Taylor Rodriguez), Michael Scott (Abby), Stevie Sutton (Zach), Alexis Scott (Wes), Katelynn Donovan (Miles), Matthew Scott and Kodi Hamilton. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
