He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Richard Gerber III (Kelly) of Fort Wayne, IN, David Gerber of Decatur, IN, Martha Titler (Corey) of Leo, IN and Mark Gerber of Fort Wayne, IN; the mother of his children Rita West (Reed) of Fort Wayne, IN; his sisters, Gloria Miller (Bill) of Bluffton, IN and Linda Harman of Decatur, IN; and his grandchildren, Simon Gerber, Emma Gerber, Claire Titler, Elizabeth Gerber, Wyatt Gerber and Maverick Gerber. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.
