With sadness, we share the passing of Ronald Andrews of Decatur, Indiana. Ronald, born on May 9, 1948, passed away on October 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Andrews and Thelma M. Andrews (Cook); his wife Linda K. Cookson; his son-in-law Bruce Patterson; and his brothers-in-law, Max Bressler and Kermit Summers.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Patterson, Renee Alexander (Todd), Shelley Campbell (Jimmy), Tamra Vieth (Terrill), Jeremy Croy and Jeffrey Croy; and his siblings, Steven Andrews, Angie Rauch (Al), Karen Bressler, Gretchen Summers and Sandy Andrews. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Haggard Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (414 Madison St, Decatur, IN 46733).
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to place a bench in Ron's memory along the River Greenway Trail in Decatur.
