It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sydney Eugene Hawkins of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hawkins and Erlene Hawkins (Steury); and his siblings, Charlene Nutter, Pamela Rubenstein and Gregory Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Modjeska Hawkins of Decatur, Indiana; his daughters, Lori Hawkins of Decatur and Michele Bowling (Terry) of Berne, Indiana; his brother Robert "Bob" Hawkins (Jan) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his pets, Tootsie Q, Flossie Mae and Ziva Dogvid.
Preferred memorials are to the Scleroderma Foundation or ACCF Angel Fund – Cancer.
