He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Jean Ashley (Seip); and his brother Anthony Ashley. He is survived by: his father Tommy N. Ashley of Decatur; his children, Taya Gonzalez (Patrick) of Decatur, Kyle Ashley of Ft. Wayne, Ryan Ashley (Breana) of Ottawa, OH and Holly Small (Grant) of Kingsport, TN; his siblings, Kurtis Ashley (Becky) of Decatur, Brian Ashley (Brandi) of Decatur and Shanna Burgin (Sam) of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Logan, Lyla, Isaac, Theodore, Julia, Elora, Xavier and Ambrose.
A rosary was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Haggard Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (414 Madison St, Decatur, IN 46733).
