William S. Johnson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025, at the age of 91, William S. Johnson of Decatur, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence S. Johnson and Wilma L. Johnson (Blackford); and his sister Wanda M. Karns. He is survived by: his wife Sally L. Johnson of Decatur; and his children, Ricke Johnson (Ann) of Decatur, Jeffrey Johnson (Sandy) of Decatur and Judy Vincent (Jeffrey) of Decatur. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). A masonic service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's Church or Decatur Masonic Lodge F. & A.M, #571.
