It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winifred Frey in Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Maryhelen Barnes, Amy "Betty" Huls, Mae Neate, Alice Etter, Carl Voltz, LoAnn Baxter, Fred Voltz, Ivan Voltz and Alfred Voltz; her husband Bud; and her son-in-law Donald Swanson.
She is survived by: her children, Angeline Buckles (Jerry) of Fort Wayne, IN, Moira Rose Frey (Donald Swanson) of Lee's Summit, MO, Valerie Baird (Virgil) of Waterville, OH and Daniel Christian Frey (Jennifer) of Willshire, OH.; her siblings-in-law, John Frey (Kathy) of Utah and Mary Frey Butler (Richard) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Nikki Bullins, Ian Buckles (Kim), Sharley Blake (Derick), Samuel Frey (Erika), Virginia Palagi (Chase) and Heather Schweinsberg (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Gabe, Molly Younker, Emily Hussey, Cooper, Elcey Blake, Oaklynn Frey, Sawyer Palagi, Bentley, Jaxson, Trenton and Lamont Schweinsberg; Robert, Charlie, Jim, Keith and Rodger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Willshire Union United Methodist Sunday School, Monroe, Indiana; Shriners Hospitals for Children; Wren EMS; or the Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Indiana.
