He is survived by: his pet Scowdy; his daughters, Laura (Rob Stigers), Sabrina Scowden of Lafayette and Marlana Payne of Bringhurst; and his siblings, Ron (Mary Scowden), Bob Scowden (Cheri Salzlein) and Barbara (Ken Haber).

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Abbott Funeral Home, Inc. (421 E Main St, Delphi, IN 46923). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pretty Prairie Cemetery.
