He was predeceased by: his parents, John McChesney and Betty McChesney (Baker); his wife Mary Richards; his brother John "Skip" McChesney; and his close friends, Dickie Cable and Harvey Springer.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Allen, Michele Pinkham (Dean), Neile Trainor and Richard McChesney (Elizabeth); and his brother Roger McChesney. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
