It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Lagestee of Demotte, Indiana, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Jean Lagestee to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her father Albert Belstra; and her grandson Jacob Lagestee. She is survived by: her mother Annette Belstra (DeBoer) of DeMotte; her husband Jerry Lagestee; her children, Dan Lagestee (Michelle), Bryan Lagestee (Rachelle) and Shelley Zuchowski (Kevin); and her siblings, Larry Belstra (Mary) and Linda VanTholen (Ken). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte (200 3rd St SW, De Motte, IN 46310). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Reformed Church (1633 S Halleck St, De Motte, IN 46310).
