He is survived by: his wife Sandra Balser of DeMotte, IN; and his children, Chuck Balser, Jr. (Carolyn) of Hebron, IN, Tracy Janiga (Peter) of Crown Point, IN, Vicki Maskovich (John) of Hammond, IN, Bobby Lazzaroni (Mary) of St. John, IN and Les Lazzaroni of Winfield, IN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Wounded Warriors, or Tunnel to Towers.
