Cookston of Demotte, Indiana, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 83, on September 6, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Cookston and Inez Cookston (Pickett); his son Thomas Douthett; and his brother Larry Cookston. He is survived by: his wife Janice Thompson; his children, Michael Cookston (Cindy) of Wheatfield, IN, Connie Davis of Hammond, IN, Janet Colgrove (Jon) of Hammond, IN, Charles Douthett (Cindy) of Kouts, IN, Ruth VanGilder of Buena Park, CA and Kim Kendrick of Wheatfield, IN; and his siblings, Zamah Jacobus, Norman Cookston (Dean) and Jay Cookston (Patricia). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
