He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth and Gertrude; and his brother Glenn. He is survived by: his wife Sondra; his children, David (Kathy) and Susanna Bortz (Bob); his grandchildren, Sarah and Brian Bortz; and his sister Doris Appleton Ralph.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Dunes Hospice or the Lowell Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry.
