The passing of Geraldine Ruth Jabaay of Demotte, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 93. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Belstra and Alice Belstra (Peterson); her husband Raymond Jabaay; her brothers, Albert, Arthur and Howard Belstra; her grandson Ben Schaafsma; her son-in-law Joel Schaafsma; and her brother-in-law Herb DeRuiter.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hamstra (Alvin), Judy Schaafsma and John Jabaay (Jerri); her sisters, Ruth DeKock (John) and Rosemary DeRuiter; and her sisters-in-law, Annette, Joan and Carolyn Belstra. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte (200 3rd St SW, De Motte, IN 46310). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In appreciation of Oak Grove's dedicated and compassionate team, memorials may be made in her memory to Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
