He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold H. Holmes II and Emily Holmes (Zahora); his son Harold Holmes IV; and his brother James Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Sally Lucas (Roeske); his children, Lovita Niesen (Channing), Ian Lucas (Rita), James Holmes (Jennifer), Marilyn Paque (Randy), Heather Price (Jeff) and Angela Miller (Rich); his daughter-in-law Clarissa Holmes; his grandchildren, Memphis, Ali Miller, Brooke, Chris Price, Jimmy Holmes, Zoë, Olivia Lucas, Amanda Huntington, Kristy Young, Cynthia and Sarah Paque; and his siblings, Howard Holmes (Diane), Priscilla Herochik (John), Joyce Buchner (Bob) and Michael Holmes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (1700 S Halleck St, De Motte, IN 46310).
