He was predeceased by : his parents, Cornelius Keppel and Jane Van Keppel (van); his children, Vicki Lynn and Tucker; and his siblings, Gerrit, Barney, Cornelius Jr., Marie Burback, Connie Noteboom, Jane Van Oort and Elizabeth Kingma.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara S. Terpstra; his sons, Michael Van Keppel (Cindy) and Gary Van Keppel (Jennifer); his grandson Austin; his stepgrandchildren, Katie and Cody Jones; and his sister Helen Schultz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the DeMotte United Methodist Church.
