With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Malene M. Walstra of Demotte, Indiana, born in Fair Oaks, Indiana, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Hoffman and Agnus Hoffman; her husband Clarence Walstra; and her siblings, Grace DeYoung (Bill), Elvina DuJardin (Bert), Wilbur Hoffman (Sue) and Al Hoffman (Pat).

She is survived by: her children, Ron Walstra (Marilyn) of Wheatfield, Diane Zylstra (Rudy) of DeMotte, Wayne Walstra (Margie) of Fair Oaks and Judy Echterling (John) of DeMotte; and her sister Shirley Lowe. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit, masks and social distancing requested by the family, at First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Malene's name to the Christian school.
